Psychic Medium John Edward's Thoughts on a Variety of Metaphysical Topics
I am always excited when someone wants to develop their abilities. However, it seems every time I turn around these days I am being asked about another medium that is now doing readings. The danger of this is simple: If you are not dealing with someone who has really worked at developing themselves, someone coming from a place of knowledge and balance, you are not going to be positively affected by their message. Way too often, you are dealing with people who actually are strongly intuitive and psychic, but yet really are NOT mediums. Instead of telling the person that they cannot make the connections, they will blame it on the energy on the Other Side. That is beyond wrong.
People have asked me over the last six years when my next book was coming out and my answer had been I didn't have anything to say, but when I did, I would write the next book. As a result of so much inexperience out there, I felt it important to do my part and try to raise awareness, talk about the pitfalls involved, and really help people understand what developing their abilities should be used for...living their best life and evolving through it to learn the lessons you came here to learn and to teach! I would love to see more shows on the air that deal with real programming of metaphysics not contrived shows that depict kids as spooky little freaks because they are honoring their intuitive nature, or overly produced shows that producers THINK you the viewer really want to watch. Tell the networks what you want to see...because until then..they won't change. I am happy that we are at a place and time that there can be such programming on the air. My issue with it is that it is all coming from a place of fear. There are more haunting shows and ghost sightings on the air than shows that show the validity of this work. People in TV World "REALLY" don't get this subject matter and I don't believe they get YOU the viewer. Sure, I like and appreciate a good scare, but I don't want it when dealing with an understanding that our loved ones are ok on the Other Side. It sends out mixed messages.
I am a fan of shows like Ghost Whisperer, Medium and movies like The Sixth Sense and Ghost (my all time favorite movie ever). The reason why I appreciate these, is because it is clear that it is fictionalized storytelling. Yes, these works inspire people to know that the possibilities of healing are present for us. Even though Ghost Whisperer, really emphasizes on earthbound energies, (which I do believe exist, it's just not the norm) each episode helps people to learn and grow within their own personal life and potential dealing with loss.

My office will utilize social networking sites to help keep the dialouge open between people interested in the work! It's a great forum for the dissemination of information and that's what it's mostly used for.
The reason why you will not see me personally tweeting from the road, or updating facebook or even updating my own website is twofold. I don't want people to become dependent or too overly connected to me personally - (it's my Aquarian moon) but rather see my work as a teacher or "medium."
As soon as I start to provide personal information and reach out to people that are interested, directly, I am opening my energy to other people's and inviting that energy interaction.
That is a metaphysical 101 no-no! Psychic Self Defense is imperative for any practitioner of energy. What someone is tweeting what they just did, or e-mailing updates, it is sending out a message of self importance...creating a "PERSONAL BROADCAST" network of sorts and inviting all to watch, participate and comment.
I don't feel that I am all that important to have to say "I just went to the gym, and followed it up with a Big Mac and a pint of Haagen Daz," (not that I would do that). Instead, I utilize it for what I think it can be used for...updating information about things that you guys can all participate in...whether it be a new event, book or live streaming broadcast on Infinitequest.com! I hope this doesn't disappoint people who are reading this, and please don't take offense to it if you are one of those people that tweet every time you pee (sorry to be crass)!
I know for many of you there is a growing concern that the end of the world is rapidly descending upon us. Contrary to a game of MAYAN CALENDAR telephone – I do not see that to be the case. Here’s is what I have learned… 2012 is the end of a 26, 000 AGE… like the AGE of PISCES is ending and The AGE of AQUARIUS is dawning… just like the song says. I don't know if the moon will be in the 7th house or if Jupiter will actually be aligning with Mars… but Marilyn McCoo was correct in her singing. With that transfer of Age – there will be an ushering in of NEW THOUGHT and social consciousness. According to astrology – new thought, patterns of behavior, and unrest might accompany our planet – with opportunities to grow and evolve. There are doomsday theorists left and right – I am not one of them. I think this is a great time to plan to reinvent yourself, your thought patterns, restructure your beliefs, and become more spiritually aware. There will be breakdowns of current beliefs, concepts, organizations, and endings on those levels… but with endings comes new beginnings. I encourage you to learn more about 2012 and what it really means through the understanding of Astrology…
Yes… everyone is absolutely psychic and can develop their abilities to the best they can. I encourage that in my book INFINITE QUEST – not so that people go out and do readings for other people – but to look at life through a psychic lens and gain an edge to make better, intuitive , empowered choices about their lives.
This past year one of my fur family members Roxie crossed over. She was a Bichon Frise with a personality that garnered multiple nicknames, like Roxzilla and Roxita depending on her mood and personality. When she left this world, she was sick and in a great deal of pain. I know that when she crossed over, she returned to her puppy self in energy and was running around and begging for treats in heaven… and met by my family. It is never easy to lose a loved one, but pets give us such unconditional love that I sometimes think it makes even harder. For all of you grieving the loss of a fur child… I get it.
